Journey Washington (she/her), a proud native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, exudes a strong sense of community and academic excellence. Having obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Business Law and Human Resources from West Chester University, she currently embarks on the journey of further academic advancement, pursuing a Master's in Public Administration.
Throughout her collegiate years, Journey distinguished herself as a leader, serving as the President of a non-profit community service organization tailored to the needs of multicultural populations and those with limited financial means. In the fall of 2023, she was initiated into the prestigious Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., where she wholeheartedly embraces the values of sisterhood and commits herself to impactful service within her community. Journey's dedication to philanthropy and community engagement is exemplary. Her involvement with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. serves as a testament to her unwavering commitment to giving back and making a positive difference in the lives of others. Journey was selected to represent her graduating class as the Commencement Speaker, Kente Speaker, and leader of the Tassel Ceremony. Journey is also often times invited as a guest speaker at events, where she seeks to motivate and inspire others.
When not immersed in her community endeavors, Journey finds joy in simple pleasures, such as spending quality time with her beloved dog, honing her culinary skills, cherishing moments with family, and exploring new destinations through travel.
